"Abba Issi said in the name of Samuel the Lesser;
The world is like a human eyeball.
The white of the eye is the ocean surrounding the world,
The iris is this continent,
The pupil is Jerusalem,
And the image in the pupil is the Holy Temple."
Derech Eretz Zuta 9.

Welcome to my world

This page is a portal to the world of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem Temple. Here you can glimpse views of the buildings, gates and courts of the Temple. Here, the line between what is and what is to be, becomes difficult to discern. I am truly a blessed individual in that I spend every day living and working within the confines of the Holy Temple. Here I can share a portion of that with you, to allow you to see a portion of what is and what is be. Use the menu in the box on the right to take a tour through the Temple complex.

Why is this important

The standing commandment to build the Temple is incumbent upon us for many reasons, not the the least being that Torah tells us to . Since at this time we are not able the physically rebuild the Temple, we can at least prepare ourselves for that time.

A Midrash

God showed Ezekiel the form of the House, and declared (Ezk.43:10): "Tell the people of Israel of the House... and measure the design."

Ezekiel replied to Him: "Master of the Earth, why are You telling me to go and tell Israel the form of the House . . . They are now in exile in the land of their enemies. Is there anything they can do [about it]? Let them be until they return from the Exile. Then, I will go and tell them."

God answered: "Should the construction of My House be ignored because My children are in Exile."

God declared: "The study [of the Temple's design] in the Torah can be equated to its [actual] construction. Go, tell them to study the Temple's form. As a reward for their study and their occupation with it, I will consider it as if they had actually built the Temple."
